  • Are you an adult with Asthma?
  • Want to learn more about asthma?
  • Want to learn ways you can improve your health?

If yes, then we need YOU!

Carilion Clinic has awarded Jefferson College Health Psychology Professor Stuart Tousman, a research acceleration grant to implement his adult asthma self-management education research study at Roanoke Community Hospital. Stuart will be working with colleagues from the nursing, physician assistant, respiratory therapy, and occupational therapy program to run the program beginning in August.
The research study was previously piloted in Rockford Illinois and published results indicated significant improvements in quality of life for adults with asthma. His free research study is now open for enrollment. If you know any adults with asthma who might be interested have them contact Stuart Tousman at 540-767-6096, email at Stousman@jchs.edu or visit the study website at www.jchs.edu/page.php/prmID/511
