Roanoke Valley AQI Ozone Days
(8-hour standard)

* information based on DEQ website data, may vary slightly from officially verified data *

Updated through October 31, 2008.

This chart reflects AQI for ozone only using the new 2008 ozone standard. It does not include PM 2.5 data which, beginning in 2005, is now factored into the daily AQI for the Roanoke Valley. Thus, this chart tracks the daily ozone 8-hour peaks.

AQI = Air Quality Index

Undetermined days are days when either the Roanoke area ozone monitor provided incomplete data or the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) website provided incomplete data.

In Roanoke, the ozone season generally runs from May through September.
